The Ankeny High School French Department would like to congratulate 70 French 2, French 3, French 4, and French 5 students who took the 2007 National French Test on March 1. The test is administered to 100,00 French students in the United States. In Iowa, 1000 students take the test. Top state French 5 winners include Elizabeth Stuhr who placed 5th, Rachel Jordan who placed 6th and Allyson Hoover who took 8th place in the state. Other senior French 5 students who also earned high scores on this highly competitive test are Eric Landon, Matt Porter, Aerielle Smith, Melanie Stewart, and Allysa Cassabaum. The top Ankeny French 4 students who took the national exam are Ingrid Bisenius who earned 9th place and Abbey Sturm who placed 11th in the state. Other students who scored very well on the level 4 test were Brandon Landhuis, Sarah Sontag, Mary McKinney, and Darren Hushak. Level 3 top scores were earned by Kjerstin Aeikens and Riley Dawson who placed 4th and 6th respectively. Nolan Henkle earned Honoralble with a 90% score. French 2 students Megan Volk and Ben Rayborn both tied for 11th place in the state. The Ankeny High School French teachers are very proud of these students’ efforts and accomplishments.
